Qickly Guide to Flashing Coolsat
Here is a guide to flash coolsats. 4000 and 5000 models can be treated the same EXCEPT they use different bin files. Since this version of guide was written, coolsat has added some great features to the bin software such as support for lnb types, sw21 switch support, sid sort, expanded EPG and autoroll for dish and bev.
To activate and to have these new options work correctly on your receiver you must do a factory reset and then reset your antenna settings after flashing the current modified bin. If you choose to use a custom channel list, the satellite names must match those in the default channel list that is loaded within the bin software for EPG to work correct. If you scan in your channels, use the auto scan feature with network on and scan your satellites in the same order they are committed on your diseqc switch for best results.
